Anthony "Tony" Klenske, age 78, of New Hampton, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Hampton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Hampton with Father Brian Dellaert officiating. For those unable to attend the services, please join the family via Conway-Markham Funeral Home's Facebook Live. Lynda Rae Klenske, his wife, passed on Jan. 12, 2021 and will be buried with Tony. Anthony William Klenske was born on December 28, 1942 to Lawrence and Gertrude (Boyle) Klenske at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Hampton. He went to school in New Hampton and attended the University of Iowa. He was employed at Standard Oil, 3M and Xerox where he ended a distinguished 25-year career as one of the most productive National Account Managers in the company’s history. Tony was President of Tournaments & Pro Collections, a golf tournament and memorabilia company, in semi-retirement. He loved all things golf, dogs (especially Max), reading suspense thrillers and historical novels, and visiting with friends and family.
Lynda Rae Klenske (Eggleston) was born on October 25, 1946 to Paul and Dorthea (Bratsburg) Eggleston at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She attended school in Elmhurst, Illinois, worked for National Car Rental, loved rescuing dogs and being with her friends at the gym. Lynda and Tony were married on March 29, 1996 in Kapalua, Hawaii – a state they loved and visited often.
Tony is survived by his son, Tim (Carrie) and his grandchildren, Collin and Jensen, of York, PA; his sister Kay (Jerry) Knoll of Murfreesboro, TN; and his brother, Daniel of Aliso Viejo, CA and his first wife, Julia Klenske of Mediapolis, Iowa along with his nieces and nephews Kristen, Alisa, Matt and Adam. Lynda is survived by her brother Mark of Chicago, Illinois.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Gertrude Klenske, grandparents William and Helen Boyle, and grandchild Domino Jacqueline. Lynda is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Dorthea Eggleston.
