A championship journey

Tip-off is still more than an hour away as Nicole Mulford talks to her mother and other members of “Team Mulford.”
Suddenly, she looks at the time and says, “I have to go do something; I’ll be right back.”
And off she goes — running up the ramp to the University of Iowa women’s basketball locker room.
Mulford is the head manager for one of the best basketball programs in the country, and in some ways, this is just another game day for Mulford, her fellow managers and the Hawkeyes.
