Chickasaw girls even up record

Lead Summary

Maddi Moorman talked about transitioning on Wednesday, the afternoon after the Chickasaw girls came home from Charles City with a 60-40 win over the Comets.
The only area the NH girls had trouble with, said Moorman, was transitioning. “Other than that we played a pretty good game.”
At the start of the season many of the girls had another transition to make — from volleyball to basketball.
“We had two days off  — the weekend — between seasons,” said Moorman. “Obviously being in shape for basketball is important, and I was  not in shape.”
But since only six girls have played most of the minutes as the Chickasaws were getting out to a 2-2 start, Moorman didn’t have much of a choice.
“Yeah, I think I’m fine now. I like it, I enjoy being out there.”
The senior led the Chickasaws with 16 points and eight rebounds Tuesday, adding three assists, three steals and a block.
