Chickasaw seniors hoping summer sports remain in tact

Lead Summary

With Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds pushing the suspension of spring sports back until at least the end of April, an additional extension of this postponement would likely mean summer sports being impacted as well.
And while the Coronavirus may affect softball and baseball, the seniors at New Hampton are hoping they will be able to play in some sort of capacity, even if it means a shortened season.
“I hope softball gets pushed back and things can get back to the way they were before COVID-19 happened. At this point, no one really knows what is going to happen,” senior softball player Alexa Wemark said.
