Chickasaws pull away from H-D for homecoming win

Braydon Fisher ran for ran for 158 yards and scored four touchdowns, Keegan John threw for 99 more and the New Hampton defense, after a slow start, came on strong as the Chickasaws rolled to a 41-20 win over Hampton-Dumont Friday night.
The win improved New Hampton to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in Class 2A, District 2 play.
New Hampton got first quarter touchdowns from Fisher and Mason Cleveland, the latter coming on a 43-yard pass from Keagan John, but entered the second quarter tied at 13.
Fisher gave the Chickasaws the lead for good with a 6-yard run in the second quarter and then added TD runs of 4 and 3 yards in the third quarter to give New Hampton a 34-13 lead.
A Keegan Kane 50-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter pushed the lead to 41-14, and New Hampton cruised to a homecoming win.
The Chickasaws will take their unbeaten district mark to Clarion next Friday.
