Chickasaws take second at home meet

Lead Summary

With just six teams competing in the New Hampton Girls Invitational, the meet moved along swiftly.
While it allowed teams to get home earlier, it also made for shorter recovery times, and it showed in some of the results as the Chickasaws finished as the runner-up with 109 team points. Only Osage was better with 135.
“We know we can compete better. The meet was grueling with the wind and pace of it,” New Hampton head girls track coach Jeanette Laures said. “It was a tough meet for us, and we’ll take the conditioning we got from it to improve at the next meet.”
