Clean game not enough for Turkey Valley

Lead Summary

After packing up and leaving Postville Monday — with a 9-2 lead over the Pirates in the fourth inning — Turkey Valley dodged the raindrops Tuesday long enough to travel to Oelwein.
The Trojans lost 9-7 to the Huskies to bring their record to 7-11 on the season.
“We played a pretty clean game,” said coach Dan Stepan. “Pitched well enough to keep us in it, maybe left too many on base.”
Turkey Valley used a total of four pitchers as Kannon Leuenberger, Carter Reicks, Elliott Dietzenbach and Cale Reicks combined.
