Della Reiser age 97 of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at Whispering Willow Assisted Living in Fredericksburg.Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Hillcrest Baptist and Brethren Church in Fredericksburg with Pastor Todd Yeaton officiating. Interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg with Harold Lantow, Jim Franzen, Brett Franzen, Keith Suhr, Edward Suhr, and Everett Suhr serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Tessmer, Michael Tessmer, and Jay Tessmer. Friends may greet the family 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Hugeback - Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.    Online condolences for Della's family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.comDella Marie Reiser was born Dec. 15, 1919, in rural Fayette County, the daughter of Walter and Helena (Pleggenkuhle) Tessmer. Della was educated in rural country schools, and attended High School in Alpha. Della was united in marriage to Everett Reiser on January 27, 1937, at Stapleton Lutheran Church. To this union two children were born. Della and Everett started their farming career Southeast of Fredericksburg. In 1939, they moved to a farm North of Lawler. They moved to a farm two miles East of Boyd in 1941, living there for six years before purchasing Everett's parent's home in 1947.Della was a homemaker taking care of her family and the responsibilities that comes along with life on the farm. Once Della was an empty nester she began working at Kummeth Baby Furniture Company in New Hampton. On Sept. 19, 1962, she began working for Meinerz Creamery, which later became Beatrice Cheese. She retired from the company in October of 1991 after 30 years of service. She spent many years working in the Laboratory testing new products.Della enjoyed baking pies and candy. She had a passion for crocheting, sewing, and quilting and had made several beautiful quilts and afghans. Della liked to make butter with an old hand churn. She enjoyed volunteering and was the grand dairywoman of Diary Days in 2009.Della is survived by one son, Warren Reiser of Belmont, Wisc; four grandchildren, Geraldine "Gerri" Suhr of Sevierville, Tenn; Keith (Lanet) Suhr of Fredericksburg, Edward (Lavonne) Suhr of Fredericksburg, Everett (finance` Trudy) Suhr of Fredericksburg; four great- grandchildren, Brittney (Bryce) Suhr, Eadie Suhr, Ely Suhr, and Emily Suhr; sister-in-law, Mildred "Millie" Tessmer of Fargo, Nd.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett in 1984; daughter, Peggy Suhr; son-in-law, Marvin Suhr; sister, Labenous Kist; five brothers, Alvin, Dean, Woodrow "Ted", Archibald "Archie", and Everett Tessmer.
