Donald George Fisher dies at 76

Our loved one, Donald George Fisher, has gone home to be with the Lord. Donald, age 76, died early Sunday morning, Mar. 5, 2017, at his home in Zimmerman, Minn., in the company of his wife and family.Donald was born to Leona and Francis Fisher in New Hampton.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charmone (Bohmbach) Fisher; children Nona (Kevin), Curtis (Maria), Dana and Tonya (Kurt); sisters Kathryn, Geraldine, Judith and Madonna; grandchildren Alexis, Ethan, CJ and Kai; great-grandchildren KJ and Madison; numerous extended family members; and many friends from the community.A Celebration of Donald's Life will be held on Saturday, Mar. 18, at Refuge Evangelical Free Church, 25620 4th Street W., Zimmerman, Minn.. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 12 noon.Donald was a longtime member and elder of Refuge Church; he contributed his time and talents to building and maintaining the church as its membership grew over many years. Donald will be buried beside his father and mother in Lourdes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Refuge Church Above and Beyond Fund or charity of your choice.
