Edgar Warner, age 90, of New Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with burial in the Carroll City Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.comBorn on Sept. 14, 1926 in the United Kingdom, he was the son of Mr. Arthur George Warner and Mrs. Grizelda Fanny Warner (nee Ball).Ed, as he was known to most, grew up in the United Kingdom and came to the US in 1957 where he joined the US Army and served for 3 years.   After gaining his US citizenship he worked for Western Union for 34 years in Sacramento, CA.   He was married to Louayne Barnes on May 15th 1996 the couple moved to New Hampton that very same day.  Ed was an animal lover, Gardner and a model railroad enthusiast. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.He is survived by his wife Louayne of New Hampton; step son of Colorado Springs, Co; 5 grandchildren:  5 great grandchildren; a sister Vivian Lucy Rance (nee Warner) and his nephews Paul Rance and Bryan Rance all of England.Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Vernon George Spencer Warner.
