Edith Ann Oelberg was born on Oct. 9, 1962, in New Hampton, to Dr. Christian and Arlene (Anderson) Oelberg.
Edith attended Elma Elementary School, and graduated from Crestwood High School in 1981.
She attended Iowa State University, graduating in 1985 with her bachelors degree in Journalism.
Edith moved to Boston to begin her career as a journalist for a newspaper. Seven years later, she moved to Minneapolis, where she was a technical writer for American Express.

It is during this time she met and began a long-distance relationship with Roger Lenehan. Edith was united in marriage to Roger on Feb. 14, 1998, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Lourdes. They made their home on the Lenehan family farm near New Hampton.
A year later, the couple was gifted with a beautiful daughter, Nadine. Edith was employed at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota, as a technical writer for the past 22 years, retiring this past fall of 2019.

Edith enjoyed the great outdoors, especially kayaking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Edith made being active look easy.
She coordinated countless community and church events, along with extensive volunteering all while working full-time, and being a highly dedicated wife, mom and daughter to those she loved most. She was a Girl Scout leader, and a lifelong member of the Elma United Methodist Church, where she filled many key roles. Edith found great joy as a member of the Eastern Star where she was Grand Adah.
Edith is survived by her mother, Arlene Oelberg of Elma; her husband, Roger of New Hampton; daughter, Nadine Lenehan (fiancé Jerod Westemeier) of New Hampton; sister, Karen Karim of Elma; brother, Jim Oelberg of Clinton; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
