Fenske, Stochl miss out on an important spring

Lead Summary

This isn’t the spring University of Northern Iowa junior golfer Carter Stochl and North Iowa Area Community College sophomore baseball player Josh Fenske dreamed of. In fact, it’s more like a nightmare.
It was a big spring for both of them, as Stochl was an integral part of the Panthers’ starting lineup while Fenske was hoping for an opportunity to prove himself in his first year with the Trojans after transferring from South Dakota State, where he played football.
But due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has swept the nation, the NCAA and NJCAA announced in the middle of March that they were canceling the remainder of spring sports - including golf and baseball.
