Fenske wins, season-best times highlight boys’ night

Lead Summary

An undermanned New Hampton boys track team struggled to a sixth-place finish at the Comet Relays in Charles City Tuesday night, but it wasn’t a completely lost night for the Chickasaws.
Noah Fenske won both the shot put and the discus, Bryce Maloy posted a season-best time of 11.93 seconds to finish second in the 100-meter dash and several other Chickasaws also posted season-best times.
“Bryce beat three teams seeded ahead of him, and he broke seconds,” he said. “I think we competed pretty well, when you consider we had one senior running and one junior running.”
