Golf course domination

Lead Summary

It wasn’t just the fact that New Hampton won its own invitational tournament Saturday that put a smile on coach Bill Glenn’s face; it was how the Chickasaws did it.
“We maybe didn’t put it all together,” Glenn said after his team fired a season-best 323 to win the team title by 29 strokes over North Fayette Valley, “but we had four guys who certainly did. It was a pretty dang good day all around.”
It sure was.
The weather was, to use Glenn’s word, spectacular. The Chickasaws’ Ryan Anderson was the meet medalist with a 72. Teammate Wyatt Stochl was the runner-up with a 78. New Hampton’s Hunter Pesek gave New Hampton a sweep of the top-three individual places with an 81. Connor Hackman rounded out the Chickasaw scorers with an 88, good for a 10th-place finish.
