Halloween traditions to continue

Lead Summary

Two of Chickasaw County’s biggest Halloween traditions are on tap once again this year, but both are coming with some changes.
The Alta Vista Fire Department, Schucky’s Bar and Grill and “friends” of the AV Fire Department will once again have a haunted house while New Hampton Parks and Recreation and New Horizons-Chamber officials are planning the annual Halloween Parade in the city.
Start with the haunted house, which will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 25-26 and Nov. 1-2 and be held across the street from the fire department and next to Schucky’s.
