Huskies batter North Iowa for much-needed win

Lead Summary

Hannah Holthaus may have the family record for career home runs, but her younger sister one-upped her at least in one category on Monday night.
Britney Holthaus’ grand slam helped push Nashua-Plainfield to a much-needed 10-1 win over North Iowa, and her big sister is just fine that the younger sibling did something she didn’t in her high school career.
“As soon as she hit it, everyone there knew it was gone,” Holthaus said, “so she’s got that one on me and that’s more than OK. She needed a night like that.”
The Huskies rebounded from being shut out by Central Springs and St. Ansgar last week and put together a 14-hit attack to beat the Bison and improve to 8-14 overall and 5-10 in the Top of Iowa Conference.
