Huskies head into break with a win

Maybe it wasn’t one of those “must-win” games record wise, but there’s no question that Nashua-Plainfield girls basketball coach Josh Smith and his Huskies wanted to enter the Christmas break on a high note.  Mission accomplished.  The Huskies used a 1-3-1 press to cause havoc on the defensive end and balanced scoring on the offensive end to roll to a 64-33 victory over Riceville in a non-conference game.  “One of the things I really like about our team is we don’t hang onto a loss for days,” Smith said, “and it’s the same way with wins.  More on the story may be found in the Dec. 29 Reporter.
