Improving indoors

The Chickasaw boys track team concluded their indoor season at Wartburg on Tuesday during the Northeast Iowa Conference Indoor meet. 
Although New Hampton is a fairly young team with just three seniors on the roster — one (Noah Fenske) of whom was sick Tuesday — the Chickasaws proved to the rest of the conference they can compete with the top dogs despite their youth. 
Head boys track coach Scott Frerichs used this meet as a practice meet for the team.
“One thing that’s unique about track is that everybody on the team, you can find a place for them to actually participate in the meet,” Frerichs said. “I thought we had some improvement from a week earlier.”
