Marie L. Knoll, age 90, of New Hampton, IA passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Colonial Manor in Elma, IA.Private funeral services will be held at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton, IA on Thursday, May 28, 2020 with Pastor Sue Cira officiating.  Friends and family are welcomed to New Hampton Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Thursday for a graveside service.  Online condolences may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com.  Memorials may be directed to the family. 
Marie Lois Harrison was born June 18, 1929 to Edward and Elizabeth (Gitch) Harrison at home in Fredericksburg, IA.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Marie attended country school across the road from where the Harrison family lived and was a 1947 graduate of Fredericksburg High School.  After completing her education, Marie worked at Ott & Forsman Produce House, and was a housekeeper for several families.  She also worked at Powell’s Variety and Sumner Bakery.  On February 14, 1954, Marie was united in marriage to Ward Knoll at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  The couple purchased a farm near Jerico where they worked side-by-side and raised their family.  
Marie enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.  She canned the produce from her garden every year.  Marie also enjoyed embroidering.  She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Crane Creek, and helped sew many quilts. 
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Bruce (Cindy) Knoll, Carol Knoll and Mark Knoll, all of New Hampton; her grandson Michael Knoll (Allie Stricker) of New Hampton; granddaughter, Stacey (Brad) Reints of Shell Rock; great-granddaughters Jennifer and Haley Reints, and brother Raymond (Dorothy) Harrison of Fredericksburg and sister Florence Rogers of Sumner, and brother-in-law Paul Dawson of Sumner. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ward; her sister, Helen Dawson, brother-in-laws Ralph Knoll, Robert Rogers and sister-in-law Ruth Knoll.
