Mary Leann Eischeid dies at 71

Mary Leann Eischeid, age 71, of Clayton, died Sunday, June 11, 2017. 
She was born on April 6, 1946 in New Hampton, the daughter of Leo and Anna Connor.
Leann graduated from Turkey Valley in 1964 and later received her bachelor’s degree.  She taught elementary school at Turkey Valley for 39 years.   On October 23, 1971, Leann was united in marriage with Michael Eischeid at St. Mary’s Church in New Hampton.  While Leann taught school, she also helped her husband run the Clayton Lighthouse restaurant in Clayton, for over 30 years. 
Those left to cherish her memory is Leann’s cousin John McEnaney and his children, Laura and Leann’s Godson, John Leo McEnaney; nieces, Roxanne Garretson & Katy Zeltlinger; nephews, Mark (Carol) Eischeid, John Eischeid, Greg (Cynthia) Eischeid; the “Brandel grandchildren & great grandchildren”; longtime companion Tyler Brandel and many other relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Michael in 2002. 
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 001 S. Industrial Park Rd, Garnavillo, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 and one hour before service at church.  Funeral Service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo, on Friday June 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lawler, on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 11a.m.
