Myrtle Louise Poppe dies at 84

Myrtle Louise Poppe, 84, of Yucaipa, Calif., formerly of Nashua died Feb. 18, 2017.
She was born April 19, 1932 in rural Nashua, daughter of Edmund A. and Wilhelmina (Sievers) Poppe and fifth child in a family of eight.
She attended the Keasling country school, and graduated from Nashua High School in 1950. She received her degree from Allen Memorial School of Nursing in 1954, and lived and worked in the Los Angeles Calif. area the rest of her life.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edmund S. (Alma) Poppe, sisters and spouses Caroline (George) Menken, Lydia (Vincent) Dingfelder, Melba (Dalton) Compton, and brother-in-law Garland Morse.
Surviving is sister Wilma Morse, brothers and spouses Wilbur (Yvonne) Poppe, Harold (Audrey) Poppe, and a host of nephews and Nieces.
A committal service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.
