New Hampton splits games against ranked opponents

Lead Summary

Although New Hampton claimed the conference title after a doubleheader against Charles City, the Chickasaws also had two important non-conference games against ranked opponents this past week.
The first of these matchups came last Monday against the seventh ranked team in Class 1A - Saint Ansgar.
New Hampton jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first two innings against the Saints. After a long rain delay, they would add another run in the sixth inning to put them up 6-0. However, Saint Ansgar would answer by plating three runs in the sixth and another score in the seventh to make the final 6-4 in favor of the Chickasaws.
