NH plays stingy competition at tournament; lose to Janesville

Lead Summary

Facing arguably their toughest competition of the season at the Charles City tournament on Saturday, New Hampton played against a trio of top-ten ranked teams in Class 1A.
One of these ranked teams - No. 3 Janesville - handed the Chickasaws their second loss of the season by defeating them 2-1 in the championship game of the tourney.
New Hampton came out strong in the first set, taking it in blowout fashion 21-12. However, the Wildcats answered by nabbing the second set in an extremely tight battle 24-22. In the third and final set, Janesville got the better of the Chickasaws once again at 15-9 to claim the victory.
