Chickasaw volleyball advances to regional semifinals

     New Hampton survived a 20-9 deficit in the first set of a regional volleyball match-up against Waukon Wednesday, then went on to win the match in straight sets.
     It was the fourth time this season the Chickasaws had the upper hand against the Indians, but the first game was as close as Waukon got to a set win, as New Hampton won 26-24, 25-15, 25-12. The Chickasaws closed out the third set with a 17-5 run.
     Savannah Anderson led the team in kills with 13, while Lauren Frerichs put up 40 assists for the match and Bailey Knowlton had 22 digs.
    With the win, the 28-9 Chickasaws will play Oelwein next Tuesday, Oct. 24 in a match to be played at 7 p.m. at New Hampton.
