Trojans bow out with loss to Kee

Lead Summary

The never-say-die attitude has served members of the Turkey Valley volleyball team well this year.    Including their final match of the season. They lost their regional first-round contest against Kee High of Lansing Tuesday, 3-0.    But Turkey Valley senior Lydia Schuchhardt has no regrets of a season that ended with an 8-26 record.    “It's sad knowing that my volleyball career is over, but at the same time I am okay with it because there was never a time where we gave up,” Schuchhardt said Wednesday. “We were always working hard and trying to be better which made the season enjoyable regardless of our poor record.”    Scores of the match were 25-18, 25-14, 25-23.“    Our passing as a team killed us the first two sets, but credit to Kee, they served very effectively,” said coach Ethan Adams. “However, the fight these girls showed throughout the evening, especially in the third set is what stood out to me.”    Turkey Valley just didn’t quit, even down two sets to none.
