Chickasaw Wrestling Club gears up

Lead Summary

Andy Hugeback believes one of the reasons New Hampton was able to celebrate winning the Class 2A dual meet state title a year ago was the Chickasaw Wrestling Club.    No, scratch that, he knows it’s a fact.    “A lot of those guys who wrestled on last year’s team got started with the club,” he said. “It’s a good foundation, and that’s what we want to give these kids.”     So early next month — Monday, Nov. 6, to be exact — the Chickasaw Wrestling Club will hold its annual Registration Night in the cafeteria at New Hampton High School.    Hugeback serves as a board member for the club, which is open to kids from preschool through sixth grade, and he’s understandably proud of the footprint the club has left on New Hampton wrestling.
