Einwalter, Reicks head the list of district picks

Lead Summary

Turkey Valley may not have had the quantity of players on the District 2, 8-man All-District lists as they have in recent year, but the players that were named certainly had the quality part covered.
Three of the four seniors on the team were awarded postseason honors, but there were also a pair of sophomores on the list for the Trojans.
Will Einwalter and Cale Reicks both earned spots on the first team, while Braeden Baumler and Ethan Leibold were on the second team and Kannon Leuenberger was named to an honorable mention spot.
Reicks was also named first team all-academic, with Jason Herold and Jose Tinajero on the honorable mention list.
In a season where the Trojans finished fourth in the district with a 3-3 mark and had a 6-3 overall record, Turkey Valley used a nice balance of passing yards [1302] and rushing yards [1714] in their overall games.
That balance showed up in the final stats, as in district games, Einwalter led players from the seven schools in total offense, rushing plus receiving, with 964 yards. He gained 397 yards rushing and 567 yards receiving, while Reicks gained 393 yards on the ground and 309 through the air for a total of 702 yards, which was fourth.
