Huskies rebound to get league win

Lead Summary

Maybe the most impressive part of the Nashua-Plainfield boys basketball team this year has been its ability to forget the past.
The Huskies showed how valuable that trait is last week as they bounced back from a disappointing loss to Rockford to post a 56-33 victory over Northwood-Kensett Friday night.
“Rockford has a great team, and they’re well coached,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Sam Brown said about his team’s 70-43 loss to the Warriors. “They have size, outside shooting, great defense and a quick attack.  We just talked about the fact that we can’t go back and play that game again.  It is now on to the next one on our schedule.”
And the Huskies definitely were ready for that next one as they built a 20-9 first quarter lead, extended it to 35-17 at halftime and rolled to a win that gave them a 7-6 overall record and evened their Top of Iowa Conference East Division record at 5-5.
