Chickasaws will be at full strength as postseason begins

Lead Summary

New Hampton/Turkey Valley’s Noah Fye may not like the injury or the brace it means he has to wear, but the New Hampton senior is more than ready to return to the mat.
“I’m not saying I don’t feel it or anything, but I just want to get out there and wrestle,” said Fye, who hasn’t wrestled since he injured a knee in a dual meet against Denver on Jan. 9. “There’s positions I don’t want to get into, but I think once I get out there, everything’s going to be fine.”
Fye’s return  to the lineup means the Chickasaws will be back at full strength Saturday when they host a Class 2A sectional meet that begins at noon.
Not that New Hampton/Turkey Valley didn’t thrive while Fye recovered; after all, the Chickasaws won three tournaments, including their first Northeast Iowa Conference title in 14 years, in his absence.
