Two girls to NEIC teams

The third-most productive scorer in the conference, Isabel Leichtman earned first team all-Northeast Iowa Conference honors for the third year, a rare accomplishment among basketball players.
Leichtman is a senior, while Lauren Frerichs, who was selected to the honorable mention squad, just completed her junior season for the Chickasaws.
“Both are very deserving of all-conference recognition,” coach Chad Pemble said. “It’s very difficult to get all-conference recognition. Crestwood had five on the first and second teams (deservedly so) and therefore there were 16 all-conference recognition spots available for the remaining six teams.”
Leichtman earned her spot after finishing with 330 points, an average during all games of 14.3 points per game.
