One long, one short but two wins for New Hampton volleyball

Lead Summary

Long bus rides home after a tough loss can be a painful reminder that setbacks in volleyball are never easy.
That’s why it’s always best to win when travelling to away matches after putting in the extra, added energy of playing on one’s home court.
The New Hampton Chickasaws did just that on Monday (Sept. 28) when they travelled to the northeastern corner of the state to take on Waukon in Allamakee County.
Let’s just say the drive back home was a pleasant one after New Hampton won in five sets - 23-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 15-7.
While the preferred scoring line would have only included three matches against the Indians, New Hampton will take it, and the Chickasaws will also take the sweep of Oelwein they completed the next night.
