Seniors go out on a high note

Lead Summary

It was in so many ways a fitting end for the New Hampton boys track team Monday night.
There was Evan Gossling, one of the three seniors on the Chickasaws’ roster, desperately trying to hold off Waukon’s Pat Hennessy in the 4x400 and for a brief moment, it didn’t look good for New Hampton.
But Gossling summoned something from somewhere and held off Hennessy over the final 60 meters to give New Hampton a runner-up finish in the final event and in the team standings.
