A small but talented field

Lead Summary

The South Winn cross country team needs to look no further than their own back yard for some of the best competition in the state; Decorah won both the boys and girls team standings in the South Winn Invitational held Tuesday.    While South Winn has a number of runners to choose from, the Turkey Valley contingent running with the Warriors was always on the small side — five girls and five boys.    But those numbers  reached a season low at the invite at five Trojans total.    Sadie Nymeyer led the list of three Trojan runners in the girls field competing with a 26th place finish of 109 runners with a time of 21:41, her fastest time of the season.  For the Turkey Valley results, please see the Oct. 7 Tribune.
