New Hampton’s Taylor Bearman fires a shot during a meet on May 16, and four days later, she fired a season-high 46 for the Chickasaws.

Chickasaws provide plenty of highlights in hectic week

Maas makes it back-to-back 50s; New Hampton continues to prepare for next month’s state trapshooting meet in Cedar Falls

After posting a perfect score on Saturday, May 18, senior Cameron Maas made it back-to-back 50s during his showing last Monday at Turkey Valley. As the only competitor to not miss a bird, Maas took home first in the men’s division.

“All of the kids have worked hard this year, especially Cam,” trapshooting coach Jay Matthews said. “For him to do that is really impressive.”

Missing only one target was the Chickasaws’ Katie Holschlag. Her score of 49 was best among girls.
