Chickasaws rebound after tough night in Charles City
After having just one home run all last year, senior Kayla Crooks has hit four in the past seven games and been red hot at the plate. She has been a big reason for New Hampton’s 11-4 start this year.
“The first time I hit one I was like ‘Whoa, I don’t know where that came from.’ Then it just kept happening,” Crooks said. “My teammates kept asking me ‘What are you eating? What are you drinking?’ I honestly have no idea what it is.”
The Chickasaws posted a record of 4-2 last week, with their lone losses in a doubleheader to undefeated Charles City on Wednesday.
