Perhaps the biggest improvement in times this year has come from Turkey Valley sophomore Lucas Scheidel, who set his second personal record of the season at Crestwood Saturday.

Snyder, Byrne, Gillen earn medals for Trojans

For the first time in three meets, Turkey Valley’s boys had the numbers for a varsity team score when they ran at the Crestwood Invitational Saturday.
But just barely. While most of the other school had the luxury of throwing out a score or two, all the Trojan scores counted, and they came away with fifth place among the seven complete teams.
Jordon Snyder was back in the lead with an eighth-place finish in 19:06, while Zach Gillen was close behind in 11th place of the 87 runners. Both earned medals.
