Turkey Valley remains unbeaten

Trojans win 52-27 over Northwood-Kensett

After a quarter the score was tied 8-8, but in the second quarter of a District 2 match-up between Turkey Valley and Northwood-Kensett, the Trojans pulled ahead on two long scoring plays.  Cody Hackman ran in a touchdown from 50 yards out and then passed 46 yards to Walker Leibold to give the Trojans a 24-8 lead at the half and Turkey Valley would go on to win 52-27.  Wyatt Blazek, who scored the game's first touchdown on a 34-yard run, added scores on a kickoff fumble recovery and return at the start of the second half, and an 11-yard run.  Cale Reicks would pull in a Hackman 12-yard pass for a touchdown and Hackman would run one in himself from the 10.  Turkey Valley goes to 7-0 on the season, while Northwood-Kensett falls to 3-4.  More on the Trojan win may be found in the Oct. 11 Tribune.
