Turkey Valley had 10 hits in its first softball game against MFL Monday. They had 17 in the second game, but even with 27 hits for the night, they weren’t able to chalk up a win.The next night they had four hits against Decorah — that was a win.Bringing their season record to 7-13, the Trojans used two first-inning runs and persistent defense to win 2-0 over the Vikings.“We did a good job of jumping on the board right away,” said coach Haley Kriener. “We were aggressive on the bases and able to capitalize on their errors.” The runs were scored by Sadie Nymeyer and Jaedyn Winter and each had a hit.But the rest of the game was scoreless for both teams. More on the story may be found in the June 24 Tribune.
