Thriving the grind!

Lead Summary

Competing in two track and field meets isn’t easy.  Just ask the Nashua-Plainfield girls, who finished fifth at their coed meet last Tuesday night and followed it up with a sixth-place finish two nights later at the New Hampton Coed.  “When we are in the middle of our competition season, our meets fill the majority of our week,” coach Kristi Hannemann said. “This is tricky because we have very little practice time. The days in between meets are rest or recovery days which are just as important as hard practice days.”  But with another meet looming this past Monday — making it three meets in seven days — Hannemann gave her girls the weekend off.  More on the story may be found in the April 20 Reporter.
