Title-winning thriller!

Lead Summary

It has been a long 28 years since the New Hampton volleyball team has won a conference championship, as the last time they claimed the title was in 1991.
However, this streak finally came to an end last Tuesday night, as the Chickasaws - the sixth ranked team in Class 3A - defeated Waverly-Shell Rock - the sixth ranked team in Class 4A -  3-2 in an extremely intense match between the two lone undefeated teams in the Northeast Iowa Conference.
With this victory, New Hampton completes conference play at 6-0 to clinch sole first place of the NEIC - breaking the Go-Hawks four-year streak of winning the conference.
