Trapshooters enjoy ‘perfect’ day

Lead Summary

The weather could not have been more perfect for the New Hampton trapshooting team this past Thursday and Monday, as the team posted some of its best scores of the season.
At their home meet in Boyd on Monday, the Chickasaws boasted three boys who scored perfect 50s: Mitch Pickar, Austin Brincks, and Tanner Lane. This led to a shoot-off between the three, where Pickar won with 24, while Brincks and Lane both posted a 21.
“It’s always your hope to score a 50. When you have a perfect day like Monday, it makes getting it possible,” New Hampton trapshooting coach Jay Matthews said. “Those three 50s will really help out our eLeague scores.”
