Trojan bats are sluggish in double loss to MFL

Lead Summary

With the regular season winding down, time is getting short for Turkey Valley’s girls to land their first win of the season.    They were unable to do so against MFL Monday, as they lost 11-1 and 10-5 games on the road.    Even more critical for the team is to put a complete game together by playoff time, which isn’t that far away.    When the postseason pairings came out this week, the Lady Trojans were sent to Elkader on July 3 — a week from Monday if you can believe it — to play Central.    Monday when Turkey Valley went to Monona, they took on a team with a 7-13 record. In game one the Bulldogs put runs on the board in four of the 5 2/3 innings it took to win via the 10-run rule.
