Trojans continue hot start, improve to 6-0

Lead Summary

There was lightning, thunder and a torrential downpour topped off with a barrage of hail that rained down on the softball field near Jackson Junction Wednesday night.
That seems to be about the only thing that can slow down the juggernaut offense of the Turkey Valley softball team this summer.
While the Trojans had to postpone their doubleheader versus MFL-Mar-Mac because of the inclement weather, TV still managed to squeeze in two games this week.
It was more of the same for opponents of Junior Hackman’s Trojan squad as the runs kept on coming in a doubleheader sweep of South Winneshiek on Thursday.
TV blasted the Warriors by scores of 10-3 and 16-2. In the process, TV ran its record to a sparkling 6-0 and have now outscored their opponents 87-35. The Trojans offense averages almost 15 runs a contest and the fast start to the season is one of the better ones in recent memory.
