Trojans gearing up for golf postseason

Lead Summary

Due to conflicts in schedules, Turkey Valley’s boys played short-handed in both a Thursday meet against Clayton Ridge and a Friday engagement against Crestwood last week.
The Trojans dropped both competitions, while the girls also lost their match-up against the Eagles Thursday.
Simon Schmitt continued his consistent play for the TV boys, as he was the overall medalist Thursday and the runner-up Friday, both with a 44. He edged Clayton Ridge’s Jacob Powers for the top score as Powers came in with a 45, but the Eagles then scored a 46, 47 and 48 for a team score of 186 while the Trojans landed a 228.
