Trojans get first victory on the court

Lead Summary

Last Thursday Turkey Valley's girls took another step toward their first set win of the volleyball season as one of those steps brought them painfully close to their goal before dropping a match to South Winn.    But Saturday at the Waukon tourney, not only did the TV girls win a set, but a match. And not just one match, but another. The Lady Trojans won 2-0 over both Postville and Hope Lutheran, results of that tourney will be in the next edition of the Tribune.        Against South Winn, once again, the team improved as the night went on. After losing 25-13, 25-19, they took the Warriors into extra points before a 26-24 loss.    "We were very much in the driver's seat in the third set and credit to South Winn for fighting back for the sweep," said Trojan coach Ethan Adams. "Our girls found themselves — their heart and attitude that is — a little bit on that court last night. They showed us fight and aggression. They took risks and it started to pay off."
