Trojans get off to great start

Lead Summary

Even though Turkey Valley’s win over Lansing Kee Tuesday wasn’t a conference match-up, coach Ethan Adams hopes the confidence his team gathered will help when they do play the Upper Iowa Conference match, which is actually next on the schedule.
Either way, it was a great way to start the season.
“It takes a little bit of pressure off,” said Adams of the 3-1 Trojan win. “Kee beat us five times last year, so this was a great win. We play them next week and we have to go out and take that one too.”
All the sets were close, but after losing the first game 25-23, Turkey Valley started the second set with a 6-2 lead, thanks in part to aces by Breanna Busta and Karissa Schmidt.
