Trojans pick up split with North Fayette Valley

Lead Summary

After North Fayette Valley scored a run in the first inning of game two against Turkey Valley Friday, five pitches into the bottom half of the inning the Trojans had a 2-1 lead, thanks to a triple by Jaedyn Winter and home run by Emily Busta.
Those big bats would help the Lady Trojans win 5-3 over the TigerHawks, but that would be the only win in a busy stretch as Turkey Valley played one game Thursday, two Friday and three Saturday.
After the two runs scored in that first inning, Aleah Hackman started another run as she singled with two away, took second on an error and scored on a Shayla Kuennen single for a 3-1 Trojan lead. They would attack again an inning later on singles by Kim Fischer and Jalyssa Blazek. An intentional walk to Busta loaded the bases to give Jordan Lukes two RBIs when she belted a double.
More details on the games may be found in the June 26 Tribune.
