Trojans rally for UIC victory over Kee

Lead Summary

Turkey Valley lost the first two sets against Kee High in an Upper Iowa Conference volleyball match Thursday. They trailed 9-6 in the third set.
Darned if they didn’t come back and win the thing.
Not that either Karissa Schmidt or Breanna Busta had any doubt of the final outcome.
“No, not really, we were confident we were going to win,” said Schmidt, the only senior on the team. “We need to get in our groove, whether it takes three sets or five. We’re definitely a different team than last year.”
After losing the first set 25-23, then dropping a 25-20 decision in the second, a tip and point by Busta in set three gave the serve to Lindsey Jackson and an ace brought the score to 9-8, Kee. But when Busta was at the line, she aced to tie the score at 10, she aced again, then again.
