Trojans rush past West Central

Lead Summary

With a rushing night of 152 yards on 14 carries Friday, Wyatt Blazek is currently the leading rusher in the 8-man district Turkey Valley participates in.    He didn’t do his scoring average any harm either — he is second to AGWSR’s Nathan Karsjens in that category — as the TV senior scored three of the seven Trojan touchdowns in Friday’s 48-8 win over West Central.    In the first two non-district games of the season, Turkey Valley has outscored their opponents 112-37.        “We played well against West Central,” Trojan coach Mark Scott said. “Offensively we had a few penalties that we need to eliminate, but otherwise we executed and blocked very well.”    Turkey Valley opened with a 16-yard touchdown run by Will Einwalter and added a 24-yard romp by Cale Reicks. Blazek added the two-point conversion on the second score to lead 14-8 after a quarter.More on the story may be found in the Sept. 6 Tribune.
