Turkey Valley boys suffer first UIC loss

Lead Summary

Considering MFL was the team picked at the start of the season by Turkey Valley coach Chris Sullivan to win the Upper Iowa Conference boys basketball race, Sullivan and the Trojan boys put up a very good fight against the Bulldogs Tuesday night at MFL.    With a senior-dominated starting line-up — the Bulldogs start four seniors and a junior — MFL gave the Trojans their first conference loss of the season, 63-57.    “MFL is a very solid team and even though we didn't pull out the victory there were a lot of positives to take from this game moving forward,” said Sullivan.    Turkey Valley, with their starting line-up of two seniors, two juniors and a freshman, trailed 14-7 after a quarter.  For the full story, please see the Dec. 23 Tribune.
